From shared roots to a thriving business
Colin and Philippa McDowell met in 1993 while studying Amenity Horticulture at Writtle College. After gaining hands on experience across the sector and earning their diplomas in 1996, they turned a shared passion into a business launching Plant Style Ltd. in 2002.
What began as a small domestic landscaping service has since grown into a trusted partner for major commercial developments, delivering green spaces that leave a lasting impact.

Over the past two decades, we’ve evolved from local garden design into large-scale commercial landscaping. Our team now delivers and maintains high-profile park installations, infrastructure schemes, and public realm projects throughout the UK.
